UI Admission Requirements 2025/2026
All aspiring applicants must ensure that they meet the following requirements to be qualified to apply for admission to study at UI. The requirements have been divided into two UTME and Direct Entry, ensure you meet the requirements that adjust or align with your preferred mode of entry.
UTME Admission Requirements
Applicants applying for admission into UI via UTME must fulfill the following criteria:
- Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. The five (5) credits must be contained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- Applicants must have seated for the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 200mark (some competitive programmes may require higher scores).
- Applicants must have written the correct UTME subject combination for their chosen program.
- After meeting the UTME cut-off mark, applicants must participate in the UI Post-UTME screening exercise.
- UI only considers applicants who choose the university as their first choice during UTME or Direct Entry registration.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old before the commencement of the academic year.
- Admission into UI is consist on merit, catchment area, and educationally less growth states (ELDS).
(DE) Admission Requirements
Applicants applying via Direct Entry (DE) must meet the following requirements:-
- Applicants must possess at least two (2) A-Level passes in applicable subjects.
- National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), National Certificate of Education (NCE), or IJMB from approved or recognized university are also accepted.
- Applicants with professional qualifications such as ICAN, CIBN, and ANAN may also be considered.
- Applicants must have five (5) credit passes in applicable subjects, containing English Language and Mathematics. The credits must be comprise in not more than two sittings.

How to apply UI Admission
Before you go to check for the university of Ibadan Post-UTME form and apply for admission, make sure you meet all the admission requirements listed above. It’s important to confirm that you are eligible, and also don’t waste your time or money applying when you are not eligible.
