NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship 2025/2026

The NLNG has officially announced and invites application from qualified first year undergraduates (2025/2026 academic session) for the 2025 NLNG undergraduates scholarships scheme (UGSS).

Briefly about

The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme was established in 1998 as a key part of Nigeria LNG Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The program is started by offering an annual scholarship stipend to undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions, Since its inception, about 2,500 students have benefited from the scheme. The importance of the award has increased year by years, from an initial ₦30,000 to its present importance of about ₦300,000 per year.

An also as a commitment to education and human capital development in Nigeria. Its primary aim is to support and help academic excellence and provide financial assistance to high-achieving Nigerian students in public tertiary institutions, there by contributing to national development. And also provide financial support and guidance to brilliant first-year undergraduates to help them cover tuition fees, books, and basic living expenses, allowing them to focus on their academics without financial stress.

Qualification Requirements

Make sure the candidates must provide the following requirements as shown below;

Candidates must be a citizen of Nigeria present living in the country.
Candidates must be a full-time first-year undergraduates student 2025/2026 academic year at Federal or State University in Nigeria.
Candidates must have obtained a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit, including English and Mathematics, in know more than one sitting ( WASC, SSCE or NECO) Examination.
Candidates must have a scored of minimum of 200 points of mark in the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation (UTME) Examination.
Candidates must be between 18-25 age of year at the of Application.
Candidates must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarships, grant or bursary from any organisations.
Candidates must not be partner or spouse, ward, child or direct relation of an NLNG staff.

Students from the Host Communities;

LGA letter of identification.
Full academic transcripts from 100 level to the most recent academic session, stamped and signed by the university’s registry, examinations unit, or the appropriate authority.
Letter of your community of identification signed by a Community CDC Chairman or paramount ruler/king.

How to Apply

Candidates apply online through the portal.
Candidates must upload a recent Passports photos or photography without any (glasses).
Candidates must provide a WAEC/NECO/ SSCE, and JAMB UTME result.
Candidates must get a JAMB admission letter.
Candidates must have local government identification Indigene.
Candidates must have a birth certificate, declaration of age
Qualified candidates will be invited to take a computer base online supervised selection test.
- Note: only shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in the test
Eligible applicants will be notified to submit an additional set of mandotory documents after finishing the test.
Grant will be awarded only to applicants who fulfilling or satisfying all qualification standard and selection requirements.
